DIRECTIONS
Unless you have access to a private boat, it is not easy to reach Frenchboro. Every Friday, a passenger ferry does make a trip in the morning and a return trip in the late afternoon out of Bass Harbor. That ferry leaves Bass Harbor at 8 a.m. and leaves Frenchboro at 6 p.m. Island Cruises, also based in Bass Harbor, makes a very popular lunch cruise most days, weather permitting. The Island Cruises trip was a 2009 Editor's Pick by Yankee Magazine.

ABOUT THE DELI
The Dockside Deli is located in the village of Frenchboro on Long Island in beautiful Blue Hill Bay – roughly eight miles from Mount Desert Island. The Deli sits on the Lunt Lobster Company dock. Enjoy delicious food and friendly service while watching local fisherman sell their catch and while enjoying stunning views of Lunt Harbor and Blue Hill Bay with Acadia National Park looming in the distance. The island also boasts tremendous walking trails as well as the Frenchboro Historical Society and Gift Shop.

A LITTLE HISTORY
In the 1970s, David and Sandra Lunt operated the Lobsterman's Lunch take-out on the Lunt and Lunt dock. In 1987, their son and daughter-in-law revived the take-out and renamed it Lunt's Dockside Deli. It has operated every summer since its rebirth.
